01 — Project details

Michigan Brewing Works is a small but mighty microbrewery that needed a digital foundation as strong as its IPA lineup. My role was to build their web presence from the ground up—designing a new website, refreshing their social media strategy, and increasing local visibility to bring more customers through the taproom doors.

02 — Creative process

The project began with an in-depth interview with Bobby, the owner, to understand his goals, brand identity, and customer base. From there, I audited competitors, outlined a content strategy, and developed a design that felt as handcrafted as the brews themselves.

I designed and coded the website, wrote all site copy with SEO in mind, integrated Google Analytics, and set up local listings like Google Places, Yelp, and Untappd. On the social side, I reworked their Facebook presence, launched a new Instagram account, and created shareable content to build awareness. I also connected MBW with regional visibility opportunities, including Pure Michigan and the Lansing Chamber of Commerce.

03 — Results

The digital overhaul made an immediate impact. Facebook followers jumped 900%, while the new website consistently brought in more than 1,000 visitors each month. Most importantly, increased online visibility translated into real-world results—foot traffic to the taproom and revenue doubled within the first year.
